If you want to join us for a physically challenging day to support the efforts of Ainembabazi Children's Project in Uganda, register here!
Paddle the Sask! involves a 40 km paddle on the North Saskatchewan River from the Devon boat launch to Laurier Park in Edmonton. The paddle raises funds to support the work of Ainembabazi Children’s Project, a local charity committed to advancing the rights and well-being of vulnerable children in East Africa. The funds we raise this year will support three youth to continue their schooling in Mbarara, the Healing Focus Orphanage in Busoga, and other on the ground activities to advance the rights of children.
Bring a kayak, canoe, paddle board - whatever your preference - and meet us at Devon Voyageur Park at 10:0am as we brief as a team on the journey ahead. We will be departing at 10.30am. It can be a physically, mentally and emotionally challenging effort!
Anticipated arrival time at Laurier Park is 3:00 pm. Our hope is to have a BBQ at the end of our trek to celebrate the success!
There is a $50 commitment to register.
We then ask that you challenge yourself and your community to make a pledge to your paddle. If you raise over $250, you will be entered in for a surprise draw!
If you have any questions, please contact Renée Vaugeois by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
